Ryan is 19 months!

Somehow this one slipped past me a little. Ryan turned 19 months right after our Anniversary and Labor Day weekend and somehow I am just realizing I never provided any kind of update. So, here it is:

Overall, Ryan is talking up a storm and starting to string a few words together such as "Hi 'name'", "Bye 'name'", and "My insert item..." lol. Another one we have heard as a first this month is "No, Mine" and "No" in general... (unfortunately). Other new words include; house, moon, bed, trash, Bob, guitar, Abby, Elmo, Nomi (Naomi), A Lala (aunt LaLa), Mimi (my grandmother), poo poo, hot dog, Tt (TV), and makes every attempt at T-C-U with T-C-T almost every time... haha.

Ryan loves music and songs as always, but especially while reading in his little kids Bible he always wants us to sing the "Zaccheus song" and will request by pointing into the air (climbed the tree...), "Noah's Ark" (animals came in by twosies twosies), and "Jesus Loves the Little Children". Those are honestly the only stories he will look at right now. Glad we read the entire book before he turned one. ;) Other favorite songs are "Wheels on the Bus", "ABC", "Elmo's World", "Veggie Tales Theme", "If you're Happy and you know it", "Itsy Bitsy Spider", "Old McDonald's Farm", and "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes". As you can see there is quite an extensive list once I started thinking about how our days go...

Favorite book hands down "Busy Busy Town" by Richard Scary right now. Others, "First Words" with sound buttons, "Knuffle Bunny" (again), and all his books with flaps.

Other:
  • Ryan has gotten great with self feeding with a fork and sometimes does great with a spoon with things like yogurt, and is pretty messy with a spoon with things like cereal and milk.
  • He enjoys walking backwards
  • He entertains himself spinning in circles until he falls and running in circles around the column in our dining room
  • Actually getting off the ground when he jumps, but sometimes falls bc he loses his balance and occasionally jumps more like a gallup which is also cute!
  • Ryan attempts somersaults alone, but most of the time is rather crooked
  • He has learned and likes "fist pumps" thanks to Billy and Tim (at Amy's wedding)
  • He now loves to wear baseball hats
  • Ryan loves to go "bye bye" anywhere to be out of the house...
  • Ryan has also become rather attached to his brown bear at bed time and sometimes wants him to leave bed with him in the morning, but with gentle guidance and a "bye bye" will leave him behind.
  • He is terrified of my purple Shark steam mop, but doesn't seem to mind the vacuum anymore (except for yesterday after nap while Nana was here)
  • Loves to point out Exit signs, yellow caution 'uh oh' signs, trash cans, lights/fans that are on/off, and electrical outlets almost anywhere he goes.
That is all I had listed in my iPhone for this month. He is growing like a weed and learning so much every day. Ryan is probably almost 28lbs I would guess. He is still in size 18 month clothing, but we have a few 24 month shirts that fit fine, pants are just too big. Diaper is size 4 and shoe size 6. (His purple crocs are his favorite shoes and he chooses to wear them almost every day...) Here are a few recent photos:
