Logan is 6 months old!
Logan is 6 months old
Weight: 18lb 4oz (64%)
Height: 28.5" (98%)
Size 3 diapers
Size 6-9mo clothes
-He got his first tooth, bottom left side on 1/27
-He is a grabber! Grabs hair, clothes, jewelry, and anything within reach
-He loves tags! Tags on toys and even found a tag on his crib bumper
-He is our first pacifier baby and loves his monkey wubanub
-The past month was full of ear infections and a case of RSV for Logan that required breathing treatments for Bronchiolitis. We are hopeful for the next year to be full of good health and no more Dr visits.
-has started to cover and uncover his face and play "peekaboo"
-he is working on sitting up all alone and can do so for brief periods of time, but still has to be carefully watched or have a boppy pillow behind him because he will still fall over backwards.
-began solids this month. He has tried bananas, oatmeal, squash, apples, carrots, green beans, peaches, and sweet potatoes. In general he didn't seem to excited about anything but oatmeal until this past week. He also doesn't like oatmeal mixed with breastmilk, only warm water and gobbles it up like crazy. Most of the time all I get are 2-3 bites of any other food except Sunday (24th) he ate all his apples (2oz) and squash (2oz) over the course of two different meals. That's the most he has ever eaten.
p.s. For the record, I think we have the cutest babies on the planet. I can never pick only one photo for these posts. I love them all!!

17lb (Dec 29th)
Size 3 diapers
Size 3-6 mo clothes

Sleep- To be honest from his first cold/cough to ear infections, it seems non-existent the past few weeks. Logan got his first ear infection sometime around Thanksgiving. It started with his left ear and now is double ear infection. He prefers being held and rocked to sleep during the day and doesn't like to be laid down which I assume is because of pressure on his ears, so snuggling with mommy it is! He generally goes down at night easily (7:30), but is waking every 3-4 hours again like a newborn. It is exhausting for this momma. I feel so bad that he is hurting and he isn't great about taking medicine which makes it that much harder on us both. I did finally get some ear drops for pain that I was able to give him today and it seemed to help him during the day and I am hopeful for tonight (29th) *update it was awful... Up at 11, 1, 4, 6, then 7:30 for the day.
Logan is rolling back to tummy and tummy to back now and does it quickly with little effort these days. He is starting to sit up better on his own. Of course he still needs Mom or Dad sitting behind him for when he falls over. If he falls straight forward he is able to push himself back up to a sitting position, but can only maintain it on his own a few seconds before falling backwards or to the side. He is very strong! Logan just enjoyed his first Christmas with lots of new teething toys. He drools and chews on anything and everything he can get in his mouth. I imagine the first teeth are only a few weeks to one month out. When not hurting from his ears, Logan is a very happy baby who loves to smile at others when they look his way and pay attention to him. He is newly loving to hear the sound of his voice and "talks" and squeals with happy noises throughout the day. (Sometimes he is VERY LOUD!) Logan especially loves all the hugs and attention he is getting from his big brothers. They love him too!
Logan had his first bites of baby oatmeal today (Dec 29th) and wasn't too sure what to think about it. He didn't seem to like it even though it was mixed with breastmilk. He did love chewing on the soft spoon. I had planned to wait until 6 months, but starting a new stronger antibiotic today, I wanted something to hopefully help his tummy as he was having trouble after the amoxicillin. I don't think I will start a consistent feeding schedule with solids just yet, but try once a day to give him some while taking this medicine. At 6 months we will get more serious about trying foods. He is still nursing generally every 3 hrs during the day (except if a feeding falls over nap time he will extend 4-5hrs) and hopefully he will get back to extending his nights soon. I have been feeding him at least once and sometimes twice overnight lately. Go away ear infections, you are not welcome here!!
Logan is 4 months old!
*Please pardon the fact that this is 3 months late being posted. It has been sitting in the notes on my phone and I am just now getting around to being on an actual PC. So sorry 3rd child, it may be late, but you really are loved! Kisses!
Logan is 4 months old!
Weight: 16 lbs
Height: 26.5"
Wears 3-6 clothing, 6 mo sleepers
Size 2 diapers
Grabbing (and eating) toes
Jabbering up a storm
Blowing raspberries/bubbles
New favorite shaking his head "no" back and forth (I think it must make things look funny to him)
He is so "grabby" he grabs my watch, my hair, clothing, and tries to get my iPhone daily. Everything goes straight to his mouth!
Trying to roll over from back to tummy, but not achieved just yet
Seems to be teething Gumming/biting on any toy or teethers
Sleep has had some disturbances the past two weeks and not consistent like he used to be. He is sometimes nursing twice a night and waking up just talking and playing at times. Mom is tired and ready for him to return to a good sleep habit.
Naps are shorter these days as well 3 about 1hr long and then a small 30 min nap around dinner time generally to help him make it to bedtime. Sometimes in the afternoon if I am able to lay down with him he will nap for 2 hours. Goes down easily at bedtime after nursing. During the day he is nursing almost 3 hrs clockwork most of the day.
